چکیده
This document describes the Simple Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP). SCTP is designed to transport PSTN signaling messages over IP networks, but is capable of broader applications. SCTP is a reliable datagram transfer protocol operating on top of an unreliable routed packet network such as IP. It offers the following services to its users: -acknowledged error-free non-duplicated transfer of user data, -data segmentation to conform to discovered path MTU size, -sequenced delivery of user messages within multiple streams, with an option for order-of-arrival delivery of individual user messages, -optional multiplexing of user messages into SCTP datagrams, and -network-level fault tolerance through supporting of multi-homing at either or both ends of an association. The design of SCTP includes appropriate congestion avoidance behavior and resistance to flooding and masquerade attacks. White-Box Verification Techniques in a Networking ASIC Design
Preface The following document describes a study of new concepts in ASIC verification. It was performed at Nortel Networks in Ottawa, Canada. The work was done as part of an ASIC design project. This report outlines the general ideas and conclusions , the technical and proprietary details have been presented separately at Nortel. I would like to thank Gregory King at Nortel Networks for his gui...
متن کاملActive Networks: Towards Service Enabling Unified Net- works
Mounting competition among service providers is making it imperative for the providers to introduce new services and extend features of their existing ones to attract new customers. On the other hand, competition among network equipment vendors, such as Nortel Networks, is driving Network Elements to become a commodity item. In this scenario, the major revenue generator for Nortel will be to pr...
